Options for Women has existed since 2004 to serve the women of central Minnesota who may be facing unplanned pregnancies. We know how challenging an unexpected pregnancy can be, and the services we offer are designed to give women the information and support they need to make the best decision for their life now and in the future.

Free Services

Our work is funded by the generosity of people in our community who want to lend a helping hand to their neighbors in need of support. This means we can offer our services for free, alleviating financial burdens women face. Many women in unplanned pregnancies feel alone, so we offer resources and relationship to help them face the challenges in front of them.

Medical Services

The following medical services are offered by client advocates and registered nurses, under the supervision of our medical director:

Each service is vital to the reproductive health of our clients facing unplanned pregnancies or harmful STIs.

Education

We offer prenatal and parenting education to help equip women and men choosing to become parents for the first time.

We also provide life coaching to women who want help setting goals and achieving them. Perceived crisis can keep us from pursuing our dreams and the goals we know will benefit our lives, and a life coach can help keep us on track in seasons of uncertainty.

Material Assistance

As women and couples go through our education and training, they have the opportunity to earn “Mommy Dollars” that they can spend in our boutique. Here they can “purchase” items like:

  • Diapers
  • Formula
  • Bottles
  • Baby clothing
  • Car seats
  • Cribs
  • And more!

We know the financial burden of parenthood can feel crippling, so we offer material assistance to provide relief and encouragement as women and couples journey into parenthood.

If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, we’re here to help. Please contact us to learn more today!

Some of these programs are funded in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health.
